Writing Skills are necessary in nearly every facet of life. Provide extra practice in writing sentences and developing paragraphs through helping students to organized their own experiences and ideas. Style is taught in the basic 5-sentence paragraph model, with a topic, 3 or more supporting, and a concluding sentence. Activities include sorting nouns into concrete/abstract categories; writing unique sentences and finding simple subjects/predicates; writing sentences for given words; fill-in-the-blanks with the right adjective; adding a preposition phrase to the noun; writing example, descriptive, and narrative paragraphs; and more.
