Learning Language Arts Through Literature Student Activity Book: The Purple Book Grade 5 (3rd Edition)

The Learning Language Arts through Literature program is a complete language arts program for Grades 1-12. Using an integrated approach to teaching, students learn communication skills in the context of quality literature that makes not only makes reading more attractive, but creates a deeper understanding of grammar, writing mechanics, vocabulary, spelling, and other language skills.

The Purple Activity Book (5th grade) includes a variety of exercises that include vocabulary work, discussion questions about the readings, grammar lessons, assessments, reviews, antonym/synonym exercises, editing assignments, and more.

Please note that this book cannot be used independently and must be used in conjunction with the Purple Teacher Book (sold-separately). 36 lessons with each lesson divided into 5 days.

The updated third edition of the Purple Level has new spelling and vocabulary components in the lessons, In addition, some of the book studies have also been moved to a new spot in the program. Parents could technically use the 2nd and 3rd editions together, but the page and lesson numbers wouldn’t align and the teacher’s edition wouldn’t have the answers to the new spelling and vocabulary exercises.
